Treat - Discografia

Juntamente com o EUROPE, a banda TREAT, de Estocolmo, é um dos maiores sucessos da história sueca no Hard Rock. Formada em 1983, pelo Vocalista Robert Ernlund (ex-SPRÄNG DEG e THE BOYS), Anders Wikström (Guitarra), Lief Liliegen (Guitarra), o (Baixista) Ken Siewertson (ex-FACTORY) e o (Baterista) Mats William 'Dalton' Dahlberg (ex-HIGHBROW e POWER). 

Após assinar com o selo da Mercury, o TREAT lançou uma enxurrada de singles durante o ano de 1984, até que o álbum de estréia, 'Scratch And Bite', fosse lançado, em janeiro do ano seguinte. E para divulgar os singles a banda se apresentou ao vivo algumas vezes, incluindo um show com o W.A.S.P. 

No fim de 1985, Mats 'Dalton' Dahlberg foi substituído na bateria por Leif Sundin, que fez sua estréia no álbum 'The Pleasure Principle', de fevereiro de 1986. Dahlberg, por sua vez, acabou por montar o DALTON. 

Sundin durou um ano na banda, até sua substituição pelo Jamie Borger (ex- SIX FEET e CAPRICORN), para o lançamento do álbum ‘Dreamhunter’, de março de 1987. No mesmo ano, o TREAT se apresentou no 'Monsters Of Rock' europeu, junto com o KISS e DAVID LEE ROTH. 

Já em 1989, ano do lançamento de 'Organised Crime', a banda já havia sofrido profundas mudanças na formação. Os líderes Ernlund e Wikström ainda estavam trabalhando juntos com Borger, mas agora estavam juntos do baixista Joe Larsson (ex-SIX FEET UNDER), e do tecladista Patrik 'Green' (Appelgren, ex-POWER). Após o lançamento do álbum, porém, Ernlund saiu e foi substituído pelo vocalista Mats Levén (ex-SWEDISH EROTICA e CAPRICORN). 

Apesar de muitos considerarem o próximo álbum, ‘Treat’, de 1992, que foi produzido por Joey Balin (WARLOCK), como um dos melhores da banda sueca, a nova formação do TREAT não durou muito e se desfez no ano seguinte. 

Jamie Borger formou o TALISMAN em 1993 com o baixista Marcel Jacob (ex-YNGWIE MALMSTEEN). Levén, depois de uma participação em uma banda de vida curta (junto com o guitarrista do POISON C. C. DeVille), se juntou ao ABSTRAKT ALGEBRA e em 1997 foi vocalista de YNGWIE MALMSTEEN. Wikström formou o MENTAL HIPPIE BLOOD, enquanto Appelgren se juntou ao STATE OF MIND. 

Em 2000 o IN FLAMES incluiu uma versão radicalmente diferente de 'World Of Promises' como uma faixa bônus da edição limitada do álbum ‘Clayman’. 

Jamie Borger se juntou ao LAST AUTUMN'S DREAM em 2004, participando do álbum ‘II'. Em 2006 ficou-se sabendo que Mats Levén estava com um projeto, junto com outros conceitos músicos, intitulado FATAL FORCE, que incluía o guitarrista dinamarquês TORBEN ENEVOLDSEN e o baterista Daniel Flores, XSAVIOR, MIND'S EYE, SPEEDY GONZALES, FARO e PHILIP BARDOWELL. 

Tommy Hansen lançou seu álbum epônimo de estréia em abril, via MTM.  

Ainda em 2004 Anders Wikström encontrou-se com o vocalista Robert Ernlund onde combinaram o retorno da banda, Mas o Treat so oficializou a sua volta em julho de 2005, após quinze anos a banda realizou um novo ensaio em janeiro de 2006. A banda compos uma nova canção chamada “I Burn For You” pensando em uma coletânea para marcar o retorno.

No mesmo ano a banda lançou a compilação “Weapons of Choice 1984-2006” contendo os melhores clássicos e algumas novidades do TREAT até então.
